Seersucker Soft & Pressure Washing

Frequently asked questions

The things homeowners actually want to know before letting someone spray their house.

What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses force to clean hard surfaces like concrete and stone. Soft washing uses low pressure and a detergent that kills the algae, mildew, and lichen staining softer surfaces like your roof and siding. Using pressure where soft washing belongs is how homes get damaged: paint stripped, water driven behind siding, shingle granules blown off. We match the method to the surface, every time. That is why both are in our name.

Will this damage my roof?

Soft washing is the method the asphalt shingle industry itself recommends, and it keeps your shingle warranty intact. What damages roofs is pressure washing them, which strips the protective granules and shortens the roof's life by years. We never put pressure on a roof.

What about my plants and landscaping?

Beds are soaked with clean water before we start, sensitive plants are covered, and everything is rinsed again when we finish. Protecting your landscaping is part of the job, not an upcharge.

How long do the results last?

A house soft wash typically holds for two to three years, and a roof treatment for two to five. Shade is the deciding factor. Under the tree canopy in Buckhead and Chastain Park, north-facing walls and shaded roof slopes regrow first. We will tell you honestly what to expect for your specific home rather than quoting you a number off a brochure.

Do you need me to be home?

No. Many clients leave a gate unlocked and come home to a finished job. We do ask that you are reachable by phone in case something on the property needs a decision.

How do I get a price?

Book a free on-site estimate. We look at the actual surfaces, measure what needs cleaning, and hand you a written scope with a fixed price. No pressure to book on the spot.

Ready for the cleanest house on the street?

Free on-site estimate, a written scope, and a fixed price. We only take a few estimates a day, so pick a time that works.
